SANTO DOMINGO.- El secretario de Salud Pública anunció que hoy domingo dará a conocer los detalles pormenorizados respecto a la importación de un cargamento de pastas dentales Mr. Cool y Excel que llegaron al país recientemente, las cuales son elaboradas con una sustancia tóxica que ha causado la muerte a 100 personas en Panamá.Bautista Rojas Gómez informó que hasta este momento le faltan algunos detalles del asunto y quiere tenerlo todo a manos para darlo a conocer a través de los medios de comunicación.
“Hay unas cosas ahí medio complejas, entonces hay que resolverlas. En ese sentido este domingo vamos a presentar todo, o sea, cómo fue que entró al país el cargamento, con cuáles características, entre otros detalles. También vamos a presentar el producto”, dijo.
Explicó que el hecho de que se dejara para mañana presentar el caso a la opinión pública, fue para no entorpecer las investigaciones que hasta ese momento en que dio a conocer los detalles no estaban acabadas.
“Le vamos a presentar todos los pormenores y por eso es que no queremos alterar esa parte, entiendes?. Lo importante es que le daremos todo lo referente a ese cargamento”, aseguró.
La Dirección General de Aduanas (DGA) anunció que ejecuta un operativo nacional conjuntamente con la Secretaría de Salud Pública y las Fuerzas Armadas para, decomisar dicho cargamento.
